It's easy to pop in to your local store and buy your items straight away but stock of some items can be very limited so they may be out of stock by the time you get there. Why not save yourself a journey by using Check & Reserve? This way, you can make sure the items you want are in stock and reserve them so they're held in-store for you. Check & Reserve is available on all items which state 'this item can be reserved for store pick up'. See individual product pages for details.

Items that are in stock will be held in-store for you until the end of the next working day. Items marked Extra may not be available for immediate collection in our non-extra stores but can usually be ordered in for you from the warehouse and ready for collection within 3 working days (the exact dates will be shown on your reservation confirmation).

Imagine you are looking for the perfect Christmas gift (perhaps a Nintendo Wii in 2007) and you see that it is available in your local store, however you do not use the reserve in store function and when you arrive Argos have just sold their last games console. If you had used the reserve and collect function, you would have secured that product and you would have been able to have collected it at a time which was convinient to you!

We honestly can't recomend Reserving and Collecting In Store more highly - it is risk free - when you reserve you do not provide any personal details and as such if you decide the product is not for you, you have lost nothing, they will not charge you for uncollected items.
